Lead sheets
I find composing lead sheets (melody with chord symbols) attractive. It is not so easy as it seems to compose this kind of music. The melodies must be really good to keep the attention of both the musician and the listener. The musician can only perform this kind of music if he/she is able to improvise. In 2020 I composed four pieces which are inspired by Dutch songs and are written in Klezmer idiom. Sheet music PDF’s:
